Morgan State University, founded in 1867, is located on a 143-acre campus in Baltimore City, Md. Designated as Maryland’s public urban university, Morgan State serves an ethnically and culturally rich population. The fastest-growing college in the state, MSU enrolls more than 6,000 students and offers more than 60 programs from the baccalaureate level through the doctorate.
Morgan State is one of the leading institutions in the U.S. in the number of African-American applicants. However, while it is a historically black institution, MSU has and continues to serve students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, priding itself on a diverse student body. More than 35 percent of all students enrolled are from outside the state of Maryland, with the largest numbers of out-of-state enrollments coming from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Morgan State University National Alumni Association recently launched its new website with Encompass. Visit their new site.
