Alumni engagement and data integrity capabilities were key in partnership

January 13, 2010 – Overland Park, Kan – Overland Park-based iModules adds four of the campuses of the University of Massachusetts System to their expanding client list. iModules will provide Encompass Enterprise for UMass Boston, UMass Lowell, UMass Dartmouth, and UMass Medical School.

The four UMass campuses serve their worldwide network of more than 192,000 alumni with benefits, services, events, and continuing education. In selecting Encompass Enterprise, iModules will host their alumni websites, event management, e-mail marketing, and social networking, Robert M. Goodhue, Executive Vice President of the UMass Foundation, said. Encompass Enterprise will help solve the challenge of operating four campuses with one single software solution for their various communities.

“iModules is the technological leader in their area – by far. After we analyzed all of their competitors, iModules obviously positioned themselves as a market leader,” said Goodhue. “We felt very comfortable with the people and we thought iModules was the one and only choice.”

Encompass Enterprise will allow UMass to have different marketing initiatives on each of its websites, but share constituent data helping them maintain data integrity. Goodhue said that with the Advance Connector for SunGard Advance and Encompass Enterprise, they believe it will help them in their goal to reach as many alumni as possible. In addition, Goodhue believes that iModules will help them stay connected with their young alumni, with data integration with SunGard Advance, and with their social media.

“Partnering with the leaders in their field has its reward. We’ll have a much greater impact on our alumni both long term and in their daily lives. We have some campuses that are rapidly growing their alumni organizations, and with minimal resources, this is going to be an opportunity for us to reach out to people we never could have reached before,” Goodhue said.

“We are excited to help UMass further connect with its alumni. Encompass Enterprise will provide them with the tools to create a complete online engagement presence to efficiently engage their audiences to help them achieve their goals,” CEO Tom DeBacco said.
