Founded in 1929, the University of Missouri-Kansas City is a public, coeducational university offering both undergraduate and graduate programs to its student body of nearly 15,000 students. The university has 13 schools, including the college of arts and sciences, conservatory of music and dance, school of business and public administration, school of biological sciences, school of engineering, school of dentistry, school of education, school of law, school of medicine, school of nursing, school of pharmacy, school of graduate studies, and university libraries. Students choose from more than 50 majors or programs. In addition to its academic programs, UMKC provides students with multiple campus involvement activities, including clubs, Greek organizations, and leadership and service opportunities.
