Cross-campus online solution, Encompass, will be used to provide better view of constituents

March 29, 2011 - Overland Park, Kan. – Overland Park-based iModules adds The University of Texas Development Office and the Texas Exes, The University of Texas at Austin Alumni Association, to its expanding client list. The Texas Exes, The University Development Office, and multiple Colleges, Schools, and Units (CSU’s) will utilize Encompass for their online engagement solution. Encompass will provide them with one centralized database to help them get a complete view of various audiences and create a more connected and engaged alumni and donor community.

“Encompass offered an all-in-one solution that met needs in email marketing, constituent information management, and providing an online community for our entire campus,” said Randy Ramirez, Lead Web Developer for the Texas Exes. “We operate in a federated model where much of our units are decentralized. We needed a tool that could allow for a unit to operate independently, yet still maintain campus-wide information integrity and the hierarchal link to the rest of the university.”

In partnering with iModules, the Texas Exes and the University Development Office will be able to develop relationships with their alumni, members, and friends for individual offices and departments on campus. While providing unique web presences for each CSU on campus, the single database across multiple web presences will provide the Texas Exes and the University Development Office with a complete view of their 91,000 members and nearly 450,000 living alumni, no matter what touch point they have with the university.

“The 360 degree view of a person will go a long way in determining how we best meet the needs of our constituents. A constituent has many touch points with our campus. Before we selected iModules for our online solution, every touch point operated independently. We’ll have a much clearer picture once the tool has been adopted campus-wide,” said Cesar De La Garza, Associate Director for Information Management in the University Development Office.

The Texas Exes and the University Development Office will use Encompass to help with data integrity, email marketing, online event management, and online giving. In addition to the technology iModules provides, De La Garza said that the support and “can-do” attitude from the iModules team is very encouraging to the success in their new partnership.

“With the Texas Exes being one of the largest alumni associations in the country, Encompass will be able to provide them with better constituent communication and engagement, while maintaining data integrity throughout their campus,” said iModules CEO Tom DeBacco. “We look forward to partnering with the Texas Exes and the University Development Office to advance their strong online presence and help them achieve their goals.”
